Our process

Six steps. One facility. No surprises.

We don't hand your project to a subcontractor halfway through. With custom design and fabrication kept under one roof, our designers, engineers, machinists, electronics specialists, and software developers all sit in the same building — and your project moves between them, not between companies.

01Step

Concept

We start with your idea — a napkin sketch, a brief, or a broadcast moment you want to create. Our design team turns it into a viable build.

02Step

Mockups & Drawings

Detailed engineering drawings, full-scale mockups, and 3D renders. You see the build before a single piece of metal gets cut.

03Step

Fabrication

Precision CNC, sheet-metal, hardwood joinery, and plastics machining — all done by our own technicians at our New Jersey facility.

04Step

Electronics & Lighting

Custom PCBs, motor controllers, sensors, and dynamic LED lighting. Broadcast-grade illumination engineered around your camera plan.

05Step

Software & Integration

Game logic, result capture APIs, on-screen graphics overlay, and integration with your existing lottery or studio platform.

06Step

Certification & Deploy

Third-party certification when required, then shipment, on-site install, and operator training — anywhere in 128 countries.

Six disciplines. One team.

When you outsource a step, you outsource a problem. We keep every discipline under one roof so that when fabrication, electronics, and software need to talk, they walk down the hall — not between companies.

Cabinetry, joinery, and broadcast-grade veneer finishes built to live under studio lights.

Metal & CNC

Precision CNC, sheet-metal forming, welding, and powder-coating in any color spec.

Plastics

Vacuum forming, machining, edge-lit acrylic, and clear-coat finishing for camera-friendly surfaces.

Electronics

Custom PCBs, motor controllers, sensors, and microcontroller firmware — designed in-house.

Dynamic Lighting

Programmable LED systems with DMX, broadcast-camera color tuning, and effect scripting.

Software & APIs

Why fabricate with Smartplay

The shop that built your machine builds the rest of your show.

No subcontracting

Every step happens at our New Jersey facility. The hands that designed your build are the hands that finish it.

Built to last

Some of our custom builds have been in continuous service for over 25 years. We engineer for the long ship cycle, not the demo.

Service-ready

Transport, maintenance, and field-service access are designed into the build — not bolted on at the end.

Regulatory ready

Third-party certification available when your regulator or broadcast partner requires it.

Start a build

Have an idea? Send it over.

A sketch, a rough brief, or a half-formed concept is enough to start a conversation. We'll come back with feasibility, materials, electronics options, and a rough timeline.
